Hi Paula, Welcome, we met at the Lewiston swap, did you get those Black Copper Marans eggs set. We have the chicks hatching this week, two different batches, have a waiting list for them so that is good.

it's blue (or could be lavender) ,I can't really see the comb to tell you orp or wyandotte.

I zoomed in on my phone and it looks like a single comb...if so then I would say orp

Hoppy, if I post pics of my rose combed nn chicks that came with the wyandottes can you help me sex them?

Humidity is good, anywhere around 35-45% for incubation then bump to 55-65% for hatching at day 18. I do dry incubation and then add humidity for hatching. Works out good for me.

that would be an orp if it's single comb and its' probably blue, lavender is a soft gray.

I can try but I found pictures and the naked eye are different when looking for suttle changes. I tcan't tell the sex on the babies that I got from you yet.at about 5 weeks, the males should start having pinker combs, the pullets will be very pale. also look at the legs and compare, males have thicker legs but not always as noticable as the comb color.
