Maine

I think shes doing it as a result of being tied out. She's 12 and just about her entire life she has been let out to run around and do her stuff. Recently we have had an issue with a neighbor and as a result, we now have to tie the dogs out. She's also getting old, losing her eyesight etc. Unfortunately, its really the only option we have for her at this point. But honestly, if the worst she and I have to deal with is pooping in the driveway, I really dont mind. I have had her for 10.5 of her 12 years and that dog has been worth her weight in gold a thousand times over. From protecting myself and my children from a peeping tom to helping to teach babies to walk, she has done so much for our family and will be with us as long as possible!

It's nice that you were able to take some of klf's birds, ashandvine! It looks like they have a nice new home. I can post photos of our regular coop and the half (three quarters?) finished hoop coop when I get on the regular computer. The new site is not very mobile-friendly. I have a similar aversion to turkens, although Gomez is adorable! :)

Well tomorrow I head home after being at sea for two months, and Thursday my baby chicks will be coming in the mail. I am just hoping I have enough time to get everything set up for them before they come, and then a coop built before they get too old. I am so freaking excited for my little babies to arrive!

Awesome, welcome back and good luck with the birds and coop building!

rhode island reds come in rosecomb or single comb, so may not be a mix.
