I have a chicken math question. how many silkies does it take to hatch one sizzle egg? apparently they are really hard to hatch because I have 3 hens trying to sit on this one egg. I felt sorry for them and gave them 2 more so they could each have one egg.

I just bought a pair of nutmeg call ducks. I finally took the plunge into the ducks. I hope I made the right decision, it was a long time coming and i thought about this alot. they sort of fell in my lap so it must have been right.

And if you want some adult ducks right now, I have some beautiful Pekin girls, they are all laying, about 23-24 weeks. Friendly and fairly well trained.

Isn't that how most people get pets? I love my fell-into-my-lap ducks, goats and turkeys.

Just don't be wearing white pants! :D

Anyone want a black silkie roo? He may hold paint genes. Very friendly, waits at the gate each night to be picked up and brought to the coop and put up on a roost.

Just started crowing yesterday, it's nice and dainty. Not attempting to mate yet, but he's 3rd tier roo.

I hope to get them this weekend, now just have to get prepared and set up for them. I've been dragging my feet thinking about getting them and now that they are coming, I need to decide where they will live and set that up for them. first I need to go bake, it's friday and I'm almost out of cookies. (made with avocados makes them lower in fat and still as tasty)
cornbread and brownies (brownies made with pumpkin).
swap tomorrow in augusta.
