OK. I'm pretty much just going to put a hole in a one gallon bucket so my pigeons can put their heads through and drink , but can't bathe or poop in the water. I don't know how big to make to hole though. I don't want it so big that they can get IN it, but I want them to be able to put their heads through easily.
I have West of Englands and Birmingham rollers if that makes a difference on the size it need to be.

two to three inches from the bottom and about two inch slot for there heads to fit in.a one gallon milk jug or bleach bottle .this should last two or three pair a day or so make sure they know theres water for them in there if bird sits around with eyes closed these birds have not drank in awhile and may need to sit there beaks in the water for them to learn to drink

I made something similar to this out of a 2 liter pop bottle and a 4 liter ice cream container., I cut a hole in the ice cream lid to accommodate the 2 liter bottle and a hole in the bottle at the bottom about 1" up on the side. I cut the windows about 2" from the bottom of the ice cream container..You could suspend it if you like by adding fabric washers and a stove bolt to the bottom and a threaded eye hook with fabric washer through the cap of the 2 liter bottle.

How big did you make the holes that they put their heads in? So you put them about 2 inches high from the bottom(?) but like how wide and high?
Last time I made one it still got stuff in it because I think I had young pigeons that could go in the holes.

use the end of a 2x4 for pattern 2 or 3 inches from bottom of jug just have to play with it and adjust if needed use milk jugs to start
