Making the most of it.

I didn't measure, but I'm guessing it's about 4.5 gallons. Now, you've got me wondering. I'll have to measure one of those buckets. It's a rectangular yellow Tidy Cat litter bucket. I could fill one and dump it into a 5 gal. bucket. then, it would be easy to measure the volume using a yard stick. So, worse case scenario, I'd have to dilute it down when i put it into my pump bottles. I tried some of this recipe from a friend, and found that 2 oz. did a great job in my front load washer. So this stuff should last at least a year!

I have very hard water, and find that my dish washer is very finicky, and dishes often don't get clean, even with pre rinse. I've started adding a few drops of hand washing dish liquid to the DW gel, and find that it makes ALL the difference in the world! Such a simple little thing! Next up: find a good recipe for DW gel.
Or add to bucket using gallon milk jug, then no math ;-)

Assuming I have a gallon jug! Yeah... there you go again... sizing up the situation, and eliminating half a dozen steps for me! You should have seen me in Algebra and Geometry. My convoluted problem solving skills led to the right answer, but I'd often find that answer in half a dozen steps, while Aart who might have been sitting right beside me would have the answer in 2 steps! Thank you. You should be an engineer!

Couldn't pass the math and physics classes hahahahaha!

LG have you tried running vinegar in your rinse cycle to counteract the hard water. I have been researching dish detergent... I found one recipe worth investigating further... A lot of the home made dish detergents leave a cloudy residue... I will make that next and let you know how it works.

White vinegar is the bomb for hard water residue where ever it may be, I soak my shower head in it every few months or so....it can take time to work tho.
