A warm meal is always appreciated in stressful times. Hey. It's always appreciated, in good times too!

Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like with all going on, you need extra rest. Easy to say, hard to stick to.

Thank you outpost. Still sick but can get around now... Still mainly dealing with a cough and runny nose... But better overall!!! Got to talk to my brother, sil would like me to cook for the memorial. I can do this... My heart still hurts for them and they still need prayers. Trying to take over bills and stuff from hubby... Gonna attempt the budget and add some frugality cause I really want to buy some land one day and I'm beyond midlife right now. The kids are on the same page ( hopefully) Devin gets it but will get a better view once he sees a true written account of everything we spend money on. Trimming the fat can be done... Just got to get everyone on board. So to you all I hope you have a great night. Today is the first day but you gotta start somewhere.

Amen to that! Got to start somewhere! Hang in there & if you fall off the wagon, get back on quick! I'm no financial expert, but I do work at a bank and I see many, many people who live out side their means. I know that life happens and sometimes it's out of our control, but it's mostly a lack of disapline and a form of greed to have it all and have it now.

Make a plan and stick to it. You'll be ther before you know it.:)

"Numb to the pain" I don't understand that statement. In all of my 38 years, I don't think I ever will. The pain never leaves... It rears its ugly head at the most unprofound times... Does the pain teach us??? I don't think so... It beats you up into a remorseful pulp of unjustified deserving. Can it be fixed??? Maybe that is what creates the hope... Or the loss there of... From moment to moment wondering where the cure lays and looking to the east instead of the west. The best we can hope for is the comfort we receive in lui of the pain...... A hug from a child... A kiss from a pup... The antics of chickens around your yard..... Yes... The pain gets stuffed but it is always there... One moment at a time.

Woke up to the sound of breaking limbs. It is windy today. Hope the girls hold up. Makes me want to stay in bed and read a book.

Kinda dreary here too, makes me want to have a fire in the fireplace and settle in for the night. No wind here though. But we just got home from vacation, have no food in the house and a bunch of laundry to do. Already cleaned the coop and fixed up the run, luckily right before it started raining!
