best of both worlds is always worth the wait!

My uncle has several free-ranging flocks of Seramas. He didn't know what breed they were because he trapped them in Southern Mexico. The unfortunate thing is that he culled all the Frizzled and Silkied birds because he thought there was something wrong with them.

Luckily, he has a bunch of the feather legged Seramas.

Anyway, these birds are BEE YOO TI FULLLL. He has a bunch of Chocoates and Laced varieties. They look so adorable when they walk around the yard together.

Too bad he's in Mexico. I'd like to have some...

Doubt seriously they are Serama, if so, how did they get there? As for free ranging, if they are serama they wouldn't last long. Would love seeing pictures of what you are calling serama.

This may have been covered before but I haven't been on here in forever so apologies if it was, BUT, what's with "booted" seramas? They aren't trying to get them passed for showing are they? I keep seeing eggs and birds for sale advertised as booted seramas, but as far as I know they aren't even in the "works" anywhere. Unlike say a frizzled or silkied bird? Geeze, I have some great "booted seramas" if they are being worked on! Mine are serama Cochin cross but actually got the serama features with feathered legs. (I'm not getting my hopes up

) are they basically just calling their crosses booted so they can sell them easier or are they actually trying to get that tO be a recognized variety?

The booted seramas are pure serama with feathered legs. There is a recessive feather legged gene that's 'popped up' in them, so some people are running with it. There's a section on the Serama Council of North America forums covering booted seramas
