I love them! The blue laced are even prettier in person. She lays all the time, nice large eggs! Cant wait to get some chicks!
First new blood that we are adding to our line!
The roo that I got is really nice too! Ill have to find the time to get some pics of them here. Thanks Jerry!
Its hard to have fun with the birds for me in the winter, too much time spent in college,
and too much time feeding and breaking ice out of waterers, and taking care of my zoo. lol

She has laid almost every day since I got her! When winter kicked in full force, she took a few weeks off when I moved her to the sun room, but she is back in the swing of things already! I need to get a nest box in her cage, and let her do some of the hatching herself while its still chilly and I dont have the other broodies going.
Im just waiting as long as I can so that her chicks dont get chilled. She and her mate are in an all glass room, so the sun keeps it warm and above freezing, but I dont have heat in there.
I try to keep all the birds acclimated to the weather, so that I can keep them outdoors in chicken tractors most of the year. I move them in around November. I like them to be in the sun and have grass, better than my indoor pens with shavings. If they are use to the weather, I think they are a little more hardy. I was worried about these guys, coming up from the south, and kept them in my computer room, but moved them in the sun room when I felt they were going to be OK. Best part about that room is all the light, even if its not for many hours in the winter.
Jessi,
The little hen i got from u must be to small to lay, they only thing ive gotten from her is a soft she'll egg and that was on the 10th of dec.
I will have pics to post of my two later this week. They played together on the couch for the first time without being held onto yesturday(the cage they should be in is taken by 4 baby silkies), they did ok together. my cockerel hasnt been with other chickens for 10 months so he was pecking a little harder than he should of. Im gonna put there cages side by side so he can get used to her more.
