any tips for a table top show ? we have our first one in two weeks

The best thing to do is to get your bird comfortable standing on a table. There will be a section of carpet for your bird to stand on and the judges will guide the bird to encourage it to walk around and stay on the table.

another note, practicing at home on the table is good but there is no replacement for show practice. My birds do fine at home and then at the show they squat. It just takes a few shows for them to figure out what it's all about so don't get discouraged. It's about fun more than anything

I love his vertical wing carriage and in general he's really nice. His chest could be a little higher but I understand there are some compromises in the chest height and other conformation aspects so you don't usually get it all in one bird. How old is he? if he's youngish he may develop more chest that will set higher. I like
