I kind of figured it out after re-visiting your website. Too cool. Now what to do with them, lol. Not in my bigger plan but we'll see how they develop. I don't recall seeing any frizzled when I picked the eggs up. The other chick is larger and it's black. I'm hoping, probably isn't but still hoping that is one of Truffles chicks. One (just one) of the eggs that was picked up and handed to me was from her pen. If it's a cockerel, we may have to try a breeding while I wait for another black cockerel.
I'm still amazed, doesn't one of the parents have to be frizzled to produce it?

I just noticed your picture has the same thermometer I have, lol And, I definitely noticed how cute a batch of frizzles can be. Are the mature feathers more curled? Are some more "frizzledy" than others? Yours are so nice and neatly curled. Are they all pretty much that way? I'll definitely enjoy watching these 2 grow up and hoping for pullets. They would be great with a little split chocolate rooster later on.

The silkie egg was a bonus, LOL

I picked up 35+ Serama eggs locally. My first hatch and I screwed up 4 that might have hatched, but ended up with 8 chicks and the silkie.
They're six weeks old today! I'm so proud of my babies, and I love the breed. The older five I purchased together. They were hatched just after Christmas. I ended up with three roos and two hens. One of the hens, and the mottled roo are my house chickens now. Alejandro likes to perch on my chair

The older they get, the more beautiful they are!

I have a few frizzled chocolate pullets here, I'll try to get some pics later this week. They are slated to be bred to my Cadbury as soon as Mother Nature cooperates!

Thanks for the information. I evidently overlooked one then when I was there. I'll have to go back to visit sometime soon and see what else I missed. I have 2 now so I'll see how they develop. They're a lot smaller than the black chick and one of the frizzles is smaller than the other. What age are they that they can look as nice as the ones you have been sharing photos of? Yours are gorgeous, even the ones you didn't keep to breed are gorgeous. These chicks just look "messy" right now. I'm hoping they will mature with nicer frizzled feathering.
