oh, my post wasnt ment to be a jab, just that only ever saw in show cages on wire in smaller area with maybe one or two hens and never perches, so was wondering if were bred out like coturnix quail. also saw some shows and standard of one type, said should have short thick legs (looked like little pirates... so cute!!! didnt know if they could fly with the low carried and curved wings, but love the stature of the erect held body and tail, and tiny chest thrust out. im used to finer formed, boned and wild type seeming game birds i guess... so was just different and conflicting stuff to take i and sort through, by random internet info. had opportunity to get free batch of serama eggs, and wasnt sure or ready, as seemed to fragile and important to try my bator out on (now got new bator to make to try out, as other is full..). im in east TN. U.S. also heard from net judging that true seramas were only in certain colors etc, like dutch, but on here seeing so many neat things done with them.
yeah, interested in bantam black skinned and dark colored silkie, serama, rosecomb, and dutch. i have assorted game hens now, one rosecomb roo... mix? one maybe another bantam game hen, two bantam game roos (selling the one as soon as get waddles cropped and healed (had damage to comb, and figure just get waddles done now to prevent frost bite and to not look odd with one done for good cause, and other just undone), one EE chick. four chicks from rosecomb, and bantam-X? (game?) hen. two dozen mixed eggs. one dozen dutch eggs for friends, who said can keep few hens and rooster
