I have a little Serama halfway zipped and I can't stay awake any longer, am going to have to go to bed. But don't want to miss the hatch, I'm so excited...This is the first Serama I have been able to keep developing til hatch. I had two but the other looks like it may have died around day 16 or 17. It was moving when I candled on day 14 but when I moved it to the hatcher on day 17 it wasn't. One outta two aint bad with shipped Serama I guess.

My little dahlia hatched out one egg out of 6 she was setting on 4 were bad and the 5th one died in the egg

All were her eggs so now i know her fertility isn't the greatest.

Well, I have 4 viable out of one hatch, and the second batch went in last night. Out of 8, 4 looked scrambled

I'm hoping that from 16 eggs I can get at least a trio. Do Seramas die in the shell a lot?

Wish i knew, I had one die in the shell, Hatch day it was pecking away, I left it under the hen for 2 more days and finally broke down and pecked it open at the air sack and it was a gonner

I HAVE A BABY!!! Gonna wait a few days for it to fluff out to take a pic, my hatcher is a still air and is pitiful at drying...Am going to get a blower for it soon cause I'm losing chicks during the hatching phase because of fluctuations in temps every time I have to add water, and the humidity dropping too often is drying parts of the membrane and killing the chicks cause they can't move around.
