Ok another Serama lover here.
In m y avatar, you can see my first experience with Seramas. Lisa (Dipsy_Doodle_Doo) sent me 2 Serama eggs as extras in a mixed box a year or so ago. Two eggs, both hatched, one guy and one gal ;-)
I was forced to rehome them early in the fall due to where we were living. I found out later, that they had been part of a mass flock destruction from the guy next door's dogs at their new home. I was devistated!
Nonnie, the hen, was even house broken!!
So I got some eggs from two BYCers. One, none hatched. But catwalk!!!! OMG her eggs were awesome! She sent me 12 eggs. Six developed up until the end, and 5 hatched!! My incubator is home-made using MissPrissy's guide.
Here's our babies;
Sweet Pea - hatched January 1, 2010 I helped her out 25 hours after pip. I was NOT gonna lose this baby!
Burr Nettle(we think it's a 'he') - hatched January 2, 2010
Roosevelt (we're 99% sure it's a 'he' and my 8yo dd named this guy) - hatched January 2, 2010
Number 4 (no name yet) - hatched January 3, 2010
Tiny (not permanent name) - hatched January 3, 2010
Aren't they beauties???
I have more 5 more Serama and 3 Bantam Brown Leghorn eggs in the bator now form another BYCer. Can't wait until next weekend...more babies!
