Awesome birds, riftnreef. Very nice. And, lucky you, getting 3 hens and a roo. Doesn't happen very often.

L&Schickens :

I use to have a lot of them, but now not so many. I moved and had to sell off most of my birds. But I kept some!!
Here are some I have now. Goldie and Baby Sarge hached their first clutch ever this year. They are 7 years old, so it was amazing that Goldie finally decided to sit. They have 7 babies. All the eggs she had hatched.

This is Sweety Pie. He is one of a few I hatched last eyar in the incubator. All the others were killed by a weasel.

I love how this boys looks! He looks a bit like he's dressed up in a waist coat and tails

I'd love to get some seramas but fear for them in our cold New England winters.

Holy necropost Batman! I'm glad to see this. I'll be looking at photos for days.

I see beautiful birds.

This is Pasta, Molly and Rohaus. I found Serama eggs locally, but I have to say they were the hardest to hatch evah! Ended up with these three.

Riftnreef, your boy looks EXACTLY like one I hatched from my Royal /Freznel pen! I know that's not proof of parentage, but on the chance that they're siblings, Royal is on my BCY page, the one on the piano bench, facing the right. He's mottled/birchen. Freznel (Nelly) is the silver duckwing that can't take a good picture to save her life. She's my friendliest, and she goes after the camera string tike a toy! She's actually very typey, and if she gets over this gross bubbly eye thing she's got right now, she will be going to our first show in April!

edited because I realised I have two mottled/birchen cocks posed on a piano bench!

Here's a few pics of some of my favorites:

This is an itty bitty that hatched just before the larger Serama next to it. I named the wee one "Brutus":

Before hatching, you can see how small the eggs are on the top right:

And just after:

Here is Brutus the next week with some friends, stepmom (Sparkle a good Serama broody) and another itty bitty sis or bro. Had 3 but one died when stepmom left the nest for too long

This is Brutus in a little tiny feed dish. He would jump in there and scratch so hard, he would flip over on his back! It was so funny to watch...:

And this is Brutus' dad Charlie on the left with my two roosters

Some of my other favorite Seramas:

http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt78/mrandmrschicken/friedchicken056.jpg < Charlies mom, Naughty Snow White with a step Vorwerk chick.

http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt78/mrandmrschicken/pynchsanddottie015.jpg < This is little Dottie who loves to go to school and be held by the Headstart kids. She would be a very happy house chicken. She falls asleep the moment you pick her up and likes to fly on top of my head or shoulders every chance she gets.

Have a few others too but these are some of my favs.

4 new perfect Serama's this week. Jerry S. sent them for my kids' 4-H projects. I really can't believe how nice they look, and I hope the kids do well at show. I will get some pics up this weekend....I'm sooooo tickled!

OK...took me a while to get them, but here are the pics of the 4-H birds my kids will be breeding for their fair projects....I can't wait to see how they turn out.
