I have no idea what I'm going to do about breeding yet....with the exception of my fat widower roo, all my birds are less than 4 months. Aside from some obvious culls, still scratching my head.

Anyway...two of my birds have bitten me a few times...do you guys cull the males that do this, or is it "normal" for 4 months-ish roos to try to bite occasionally? I have to say, I was rather not pleased with those boys....

My roo, Sir Ama was a bit nippy when I first got him. I think he was about 4 months old or so. He's the sweetest roo of my bunch now, so I'd give them a bit.

Do they do a little dance before they bite or do they just bite you?

Nekhebet I have had roos like that, I sold em! sometimes ya just can't tame them down and you don't want that type of personality in your birds. I sold one sooo wild it got away from it's new owner and spent a week in a tree b4 it was snared with fishing line. His father was a mean roo I tried to tame for the longest time. I was hoping he would have inherited his mothers personality but he didn't.

A little OT here but has anyone ever found an egg this small in their serama pens?

Do button quail eggs count!

I had one about that small from my EE pullet.

Often times they don't even have a yolk. They're just a shell with some whites in it.

nice chests on those offspring, put the best cock with mom and the best hen with dad, and see where that takes you
