These were taken last night, I can't get them to stand too well. They are about 9 weeks old.

Most of them are black, I have 3 or 4 mottled, then the little brownish one. 6 cockerels, 5 pullets.

I bought eggs from mbrobbins, hatched 17 of 37. I lost 2 and sold 4 as babies, I have 11 left. There are 6 cockerels and 5 pullets, at least that's how it looks right now

Those are some really cute chicks...wish I had some blacks. I'm hoping maybe Bo will help me with that.

I thought for a while I had three cockerels the way they were flying into each other when playing.

The funny thing is that I don't think mbrobbins has any all-black birds, I'd love to know where these guys came from

Looks like she does have a few black ones, 2 or 3 from her pics. But the genetics are all messed up on these little guys! That's why several serama breeders are working on standardizing colors, looks like I'll be working on black and mottleds. A friend has some recessive sex-linked chocolate hens too, so I'm going to work with him on those as well. Plus he's got a few mottled silkied youngsters, oh what fun we'll have!

This little one (yellow) is the 'brown' one in the above pics, if that's any indication of their changes! At least I've got one little hen that seems to have the same coloring, though I have no idea what color it would be. Here he is at 3 weeks:

And again at 8 weeks:
