I'm so sorry, it's always sad to lose one.
I'm not sure what happened with my little 'fly away' girl. Since she was in the nestbox, I guess it's possible she was eggbound --- I really thought she was hiding in there because she didn't feel well from all the activity Sun (it's unusual to see a chicken fly like that, haha).
I haven't gotten any more eggs since then so that does seem more likely.
But on a happy note, I candled the eggs set the 10th and all 3 Serama eggs are growing. That was a nice surprise.

Last night around 11:00 ( just like I predicted ) the little "Zipper" popped out! Then this morning I woke up to another Serama baby and one just pushing his way out of the shell!! Soooo excited!! Will try to get pictures on here in a minute, or two.
