WOW June, you have been working on secret projects! She is very nice and looks so soft.

Thanks Ruth,

Needless to say, I have a hatching addiction and have gotten myself into a real situation just by the sheer numbers of birds I am tending and the shortage of space that I have. Here is another project coming from the same gene-pool. I am not yet ready to photograph these little guys individually, but I have about 20 or so of them (both male and female)...they are 3rd generation also...hard to see in the photo, but they are NOT black.

chickyboom. Hi,
I have three roo's.
Two are very quiet..just don't say much.
And one that about sends me into orbit when he crows...................

Finds it nessasary to let me know when a hen lays her egg.............silly guy...
They are by far the neatest chickens I have ever owned, very curious and entertaining.
I spend way to many hours watching mine.and talking to them.
Hope it works out for you. They are great...

The recent pictures are so knock out gorgeous I do not know how to respond.
Hard to say one is more beautiful than the other because they are so different.
So, will just say thank you for posting.

I have 10 roosters in the house...all of varying loudness. A couple just squeak...the loudest one outdoes my RIR outside! What I've found out over the years with all my roosters is you just can't hide them, you can only muffle them a bit lol.

On a sad note, I lost Tammy this morning, my chocolate gene carrying frizzled pullet from Juliette

She never bounced back after the shipping like the other girls did and then she developed sour crop a couple days ago. Sad day and lesson all around. It doesn't really matter how much you work to prevent things or how right you do things, sometimes they just go wrong

I am going to miss her sweet little face.

June, wowza

I can't wait to see them in person

I had another chick hatch out today, sort of surprised me. I have some in lockdown, due to hath in another couple of days that I'd pulled out from one of my Araucana hens setting them. I must have missed one, I don't leave them under then hen till they hatch. She was all happy about it and promptly came off the nest calling to the chick, good thing I was home today. I doubt she'll return to the nest so I went ahead and took the rest and put them in the hatcher.

Here's the lil sneak, I don't have a name yet.

No idea about the color yet. This one is by T-Roo, my wheaten rooster. Possible hens are Cici (wheaten) Gracie or Lacie (white with cream mottling, one from Cara and one from a breeder in Texas (via Ruthless).
