I have two 3 week old cockerels from Revolutionmama here on BYC, they are really nice, already stand nice and upright, but I only need one roo (we were going to keep both if they were girls). I also have a bunch of eggs in lockdown if you need some Seramas

Anyway, if you want to come and see mine you are welcome to since we're not to far away. I have a roo and 4 hens that are just starting to lay. Ours are really sweet, but I've never had an OEGB to compare them too. Elvis comes inside at night and he will sleep on my son's lap while he watches television. The others are really sweet too, but we don't handle them as much as Elvis.
Also, Amy Bullock from the SCNA is in Queen Creek and sometimes has young birds avialable too.

Oh, my gosh. You are really tempting me! If I can get rid of a couple of my extra Bantie Roos, I may just have to go for it! They look like they are probably going to need to stay in the coop, most likely cat bait? I've never lost an Old English to a predator, knock wood, but these are a little tinier. I do have to find a home for the D'Uccle, though, he's already a bully, at 7 weeks. Although, he's also very protective of his little flock.
One of the little 6 week old Old EnglishRoosters thought he was going to attack my ankle today. He has a serious short man syndrome, silly boy! But, that's why I love the Old English, they're so tough yet delicate. They provide hours of entertainment. I love watching them hunt for bugs in the garden. They just seem so " chicken-like" compared to a lot of the bigger laying breeds.
The hens are really sweet and remind me of little doves or quail, I love their quail-like colors.

LOL, just let me know. My Seramas have the run of the side yard with my large chickens. They do go into the coop at night and get locked in. I think the big girls would keep the cats away since they are bigger than them, they charge anything they don't recognize. Cats tend to stay out of my yard because of our three dogs anyway. There is only one that comes around very rarely to play with my chihuahua. He looks exactly like our last cat, Hobbes, and I think our chi Elsa thinks he IS our old cat Hobbes because she chases any other cat away, but goes and plays with this one. He hasn't been around since we got our lab though. The lab would probably slobber him to death. He slobbers all over our cat and gets him all wet when they play.

So my Serama projects will be a step closer!

Had a show last weekend and sold 4 of my 8 young ones. Ended up keeping 1 cockerel and 3 pullets out of 4 pullets and 4 cockerels. They were all nice birds it was hard to choose but they went to good homes.

Some pictures of the ones I decided to keep. (bad pictures but things were moving a little fast

These two didn't place in the regular judging (to young) but the mottled pullet got Champ 2-5month old

Pair of whites got Res. Champ breeding Pair. The pullet still thought she was better than the black cock?/cockerel? and was trying to attack him

They were all still to young (hatched March 6-7) but did pretty good. Can't wait for the fall shows
