I am going to be raising quails for eggs and the person I will be buying from said it’s ok to keep the males and females together and as long as you rinse the eggs and put them in the fridge they will be fine for eating. Just want to make sure this is true. I’ve just read that with chickens, fertile eggs don’t stay good as long. Is that the same case with Quail?

For chicken eggs, there is no difference in how long they stay good whether fertile or not. I can't imagine why it would be different for quail. They are all galliformes.
There is really no reason there would be a difference in how long they stay fresh.
