Well thats good news.I’m inclined to say pullet as well.
Is there something that makes you suspicious? How does the comb compare to others?Well thats good news.
My barred rocks all developed combs really early and the one pictured has the most prominent. I thought that mine mean I had a cockeral. Is there something that makes you suspicious? How does the comb compare to others?
This is a great comparison. I knew males were lighter but wasn't sure how much. My three barred rocks are all darker.Definite Pullet. The males are lighter in color because they get two copies of the barring gene. I have a barred male green queen that’s 6.5 weeks old and he has a huge comb already and is crowing. You can see he’s lighter and has a bright red comb, next to him is a barred rock pullet.
