Here are pics of one of my almost 7 week old barred rocks. What do you think? Male or female. This one has the biggest comb.

Definite Pullet. The males are lighter in color because they get two copies of the barring gene. I have a barred male green queen that’s 6.5 weeks old and he has a huge comb already and is crowing. You can see he’s lighter and has a bright red comb, next to him is a barred rock pullet.

This is a great comparison. I knew males were lighter but wasn't sure how much. My three barred rocks are all darker.
