Male or Female Ducks

You will have to post it to YouTube or Vimeo and then paste a link on here.

I think there is also something called Flickr but I don’t know anything about it.

I think I managed to get videos of my ducks making sounds!! I tried doing it by myself, but when I tried, the one I was holding would never talk while the rest on the ground would chatter away. Even with a friend, they would not really make sounds for me, so my friend had to hold them.

Here they are, any help deciphering their gender is helpful

PS a knowledgeable person showed me how to vent sex a duck, but showed my on a very young one. I tried, with help, at home, but no luck. Too many thick feathers, I couldn't find anything ! I guess that comes from more experience.

Graham - buff

Groningen - Cayuga

Inky - Cayuga

Momo - khaki campbell

Eggsy - buff

Seriously?!

Oh my gosh I'm so glad, I didn't want to get rid of any of them, even to people we know. Once you add new members of the family, there's no leaving them behind!!

You could tell that by their sound quality? That's amazing. Of course, they never made those sounds for me, the would just do little squeaky chattering, except for Momo who would just come out with the random loud quack. Good thing my friend was there to help!

Thank you!

Yes. I’m so happy the family gets to stay together!!:wee:lau

Yes their sounds are what tells me they are girls. Your friend did her job well!

Yes, we had many false videos with me attempting similar maneuvers with the ducks to attempt to get them to talk, but they would just be quiet. Silly ducks.

Ok so this is my paddling of ducks. Two Cayuga, two buff orpington and a khaki Campbell. All but Momo, the khaki campbell, were hatched about April 13. Momo hatched about a week later.
I am hoping to positively identify which ones are male and which are female Any help is appreciated! We are not allowed more ducks, so duckies need to separate before too long.
Thank you in advance!

This first duck is Graham, who I think is a girl because of her brownish pinkish bill. Her legs are orange.

The second one is Eggsy, also a buff orpington , but his (her?) bill is orange along with his feet. Both Graham and have light brownish heads and chests.

The third is Momo , the khaki campbell, I am pretty sure she's a girl as she comes out with a loud squawk quack, but I was wondering because I thought females had brown legs and hers are turning more orange. Also she's starting to get a blue shimmery stripe on her wings.

The final two are the Cayugas. Groningen is very shimmering with blue and green, and is bigger than Inky, who is more black with just a little shimmer.the pictures don't really do justice to the colors.

The first two pictures are groningen who I think is the male.
The next is inky who I think is female.

You can see only groningen's back in this one and most of inky, but there is a better comparison of color.

Any help is appreciated!!!
I am still working on recording their sounds. I tried picking one up at a time and separating from the others, trying to get the one I was carrying to make some sort of sound, but the only ones talking were the ones following us on the ground.
Contrary little things thank you for your help!
I love your ducks very nice. I’d like to raise a few in the future. Thanks for sharing.:)

Can someone help me identify if both of my ducks are drakes or females?? I have looked up the different sounds of the Pekin and it definitely sounds like a male I just wanna be 100% sure.
