Male or female?

Hi guys, can you help to guess which gender my chicks are? They are both lavender araucana cross silkie, and are now 7 weeks old.

Hi guys, can you help to guess which gender my chicks are? They are both lavender araucana cross silkie, and are now 7 weeks old.

Someone told me about this test and I just came on to post about it. I don’t know at what age it works, but I do know that it does NOT work before 7 days old. It works by two weeks old. Between me and my friend, it was 100% accurate with 14 chicks. First pic is a female, second pic is a male. I would love to know what happens when you do this with older chicks. I think you have to be very careful to hold their heads and backs very steady.

Yea i thought so too, its a tough one to guess as well considering which breeds their parents were

7 week i would say girls for now. comb not too far back, nice light colour ,short legs,

I sure hope you are right its 10 weeks now and stilll no sign for crowing. Only got a recent pic of the black one

fluffy bum for laying .hair not out of place,my boys at that age would run at each other,very bossythe boys early on.couple week old they puff up at each other,

There is the white one doesnt like their pics taken this one has definitely got more of their dads (araucana) looks
