Male quail trying to mate with young hens

Hi all i have two males in withe a group of hens two are several months old but the others are only 7 they have not started laying yet but the males are breeding with them. Can this effect them from laying by causing stress?

It could, but as long as they're not over bred, it shouldn't affect them. Mating is normal behaviour, after all.

I would recommend only one male per pen, but if yours are getting along and you have at least three hens per male, it may work fine.
