I need help! I am relatively new at raising coturnix quail, and I just bought 8 new hens last week. this morning I came home from school, and one of my males was completely bald on the back side of his head. There was quite a bit of dried blood, but I'm sure he will be fine. I noticed one of my hens was being aggressive. While observing him, I saw her attack him. She attacks any hen/male that comes near her. I don't know how old she is, but she is much smaller than my laying hens. Any tips/suggestions please?

It's possible that she's not sexually mature and his presence causes her to be aggressive. I had one like that, I kept the males away for a couple extra weeks and it worked itself out.

You can isolate the male until he heals. If the female is still agressive when he's not around your best choice is to find a new home for her or heat up the bbq.
