Mallard hen laying eggs

Ok so my mama hen has babies that are only half way feathered now and I found 4 eggs hidden under the hay and she hasnt been around a male in about 3 weeks she had 14 babies hatched but is down to 7 anyways i candled the eggs and they look fertile i think is this possible? Ill post pictures of the eggs tomorrow under a light

I think I read on this forum that even though a hen hasn't been near a drake their eggs can still be inseminated and that can last up to a month....

So how long should i leave her alone with the eggs how long should i give it?

Generally duck eggs hatch around 28 days. Depending on how much you see when you candle them.... I'd say if you see veins only then give it at least 3 weeks.
