My goodness! Glad y'all love them as much as I! All nine hatched, and are exceptionally healthy. I cornered off an area in the coop for her before all had hatched, but tomorrow they are going into an enclosure outside of the coops. It is still in view and they'll certainly be able to hear the flocks. (especially the cock
) I will most certainly post pics when they settle into their grow-out pen, but for now, here is more of when they were still a lil wobbly.
The black chick is one of the two black sex links. Both are boys
But adorable nontheless.
This cutie with the black dot actually has a single comb. (In case you didn't read my original post, the father was GLW/buff Rock, and had a rosecomb.) One of the sex links also has a single comb, but the rest have rosecombs.
The yellow chicks were absolute hams - they are in just about every picture.
This one is a bit blurry, but showcases her patience - as those of you with mama hens know, the chicks will peck at everything on the hen, poor girl. The rosecomb sex link is particularly fond of her earlobes.
I'll take more pics tomorrow - its amazing how quickly they grow their wing feathers!!!
