Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Well crap, one of my buffs is favoring her leg :/ Like holding it up when she's standing and then limping when she walks :( I took a video but don't know how to post it?

I had a limper with my first batch of chicks. Somehow she had managed to make a tourniquet from a shaving and poop. :barnie Removed it and after a day or two of massage, the swelling went down and it was fine, but I swear these chicks...

Exactly! Ugh. But she seems okay now at least so we'll see *eye roll*

And I changed out the paper towels this morning, put everyone in the box they came in and put the lid on becauseI had a couple jumpers lol! Anyway, I put them back in and you would've thought they were dying, everyone running around screeching. I'm like chill lil dudes geez! Yes, the paper towels are now white again, calm down

Got eggs in the incubator. Funny, all the confidence I have when discussing MHP flies out the window when I'm talking about hatching eggs. I mean, as soon as they're dry and moving well (and have been photographed and oohed and ahhhed over) they'll go out to their brooder and I'll be so relaxed because I know, trust, and love the system. My incubator confidence, however, is zilch. Guess the perspective changes when you're suddenly the new kid on the block with a ton of uncertainty.
