Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

ROFL!! Where's our MAMA!!! Screech!!!

Exactly!! Lol! Man. And I have a couple LOUD ones too. And a bully, which happens to be one of the smallest ones *eye roll* She wants to peck everything anyone is pecking at and she likes to chase others away from the food. Just.Eat.And.BE.Nice. Oh and QUIET! Lol!

Oh and I have one that is under the MHP but is doing the "mama, mama" screech, sometimes she goes on top of the pad and does it. Right now she's under the pad, clear in the back and just chirping?? She's not hurt. Just constant chirping. Weird. Anyone have thoughts?

Is she being pecked? Does she have access to food and water or are the others keeping her away? Why not take her out and give her a little feed or water separately to assess...give her a little pet and reassurance...sounds a bit like a distress peep! Let us know...also give babies something to peck at like toys: I hung a 1x1 rod with tied jute string and dangly/shiny things, they loved it:

Give them something else to focus on - a clump of sod keeps them entertained for hours. They'll play "chick soccer" with a couple of large marbles. Use your imagination and see what you can come up with.

They seem content and already ensconced under MHP. The lady at the store said they had a long trip, including a layover!

Just lost one of my buffs Dang it. Like it JUST died, within the last few minutes. I lifted up the MHP to get the noisemaker chick and found another one dead. All the buffs were just out eating and milling around. WTHeck? I got the noisy one out too, going to give it a little TLC, but definitely did not need to lose one Sigh.
