Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Live chat:
Natalie: Hi, my name is Natalie. I will be happy to help you today.Natalie: How are you today?Me: hello Natalie. If I experience a power outage, will the pad come back on automatically?Natalie: No, it will not. The control will, typically, start blinking.Me: Ah, okay, so one must then turn off then back on?Natalie: Correct.Me: Thanks a bunch! Does Sunbeam make any pads that will come back on after a power outage?Natalie: We do not.

Somebody better tell @Henless that her Sunbeam heating pad isn't really coming back on after a power outage - since hers did when she tested it she must have one that sneaked past Natalie! ;) Neither of mine do, of course, but I didn't expect them to, and that's fine with me. I'd be going out there to check the chicks if we lost power anyway so turning it back on and resetting the stay-on switch isn't any hardship. Mine have the heat taken off completely at around 4 weeks, but if an outage was prolonged when they were very little I'd bring them in anyway. No matter how chicks are raised, a backup plan is essential.

One person at Sunbeam says it won't come back on, another says it might, or it might not, neither can provide a spec that says either way, so who knows? Yours don't, and I don't think mine does either, but not sure what model mine is. Next trip to Wally I will see if I can find the one or more of the pads mentioned and test them.
