Chicks were quiet ALL night! All 4 up and active, eating, and drinking, including "scabby navel." Cleaned up one little butt. On to Day Two!
I have 2 German Shepherds, and they are totally curious. Probably part prey drive and part curiosity. They've sniffed them in my hands and watched. I'm hoping integrating them will prevent an attack, but I also know how strong prey drive can be.

At 5:45 (still dark here at that time) I hear "CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!" I'm like dude here we go again, thinking it was the non-eater. Since it's so dark I tucked her back under mama and just heard those sweet churring noises, went back to bed. 5 minutes later, it started again...it could be non-eater I guess although once I turned the light on a little (dimmer switch) they all came out to eat and drink and I couldn't pick her out SO I wondered if I have a roo in there, time to get up everyone! Lol! Seems early, and DARK to be waking up, but??
