It puts out 20 lumens, so about as much light as a night light. Seems like it should work fine.
Yeah that's the deal, I don't want it too bright...it's hard to buy something like this online and unfortunately I don't think any place around here sells anything similar :/
So we're 50/50 on this light so far LOL! Anyone else have input?![]()

My little chicks are loving the MHP and having soo much room. I am loving having them outside.![]()
They are 1 week old and it's in the 70's (in the sunny spot)in the coop so they have spent very little time in their today. Yesterday it was in the low 60s, Monday in the 50s and they spent a lot of time in the MHP. With 14 new chicks we needed the room. I am so glad I found this idea.
You don't have a hardware or chain drugstore or big box store nearby...I see those things in all kinds of stores.Yeah that's the deal, I don't want it too bright...it's hard to buy something like this online and unfortunately I don't think any place around here sells anything similar :/

Yeah, but I figured a gentle reminder to just use in the daytime couldn't hurt.You don't have a hardware or chain drugstore or big box store nearby...I see those things in all kinds of stores.
@Blooie I think it's for day time, dark coop/brooder.

I'm confused as to what it's for, exactly. If you've got a window in the room or building in which you are brooding, that should be enough light for them in the day time. Is it so you can see better when you are feeding and watering?
