You will eventually need 2 long ways so they can get out and don't get blocked... Or spaced a couple inches apart so they can go out the middle. Too far apart and they all pile in one.

But it's not soft and fuzzy enough for da widdle chickie babies.
For those who don't know me, that was a totally facetious comment
All in good fun!

I seriously don't think the temp difference is enough to be of concern.
Use what ever side that puts the power cord where it will be safest and out of the way.
Will check mine with the infrared when I get it out here soon,
hatching time here is very near.
Have a broody out there whose chicks hopefully will have the real thing,
and an 'order' to incubate chicks for a local farmette.

It might be a bit too high.
Can you easily bend the legs to adjust the height?
About 1.5" in back and 3" in front is good place to start,
raise it up as they get bigger.

yes! The legs bend easily. Thank you! I will lower it down.

The only issue I see is it looks like there might be a small gap in the P&S on the front left. You want to make sure there is no place a chick can get stuck.

I have moved my 5 week chicks (boy time flies when your having fun)out to the coop last week. Today I raised up the MHP and have the heat on medium, tonight they are all huddled on top sleeping it is going to be in the high 20’s tonight. It has been that cold earlier this week but they were underneath. Is this normal, should I be worried they are not underneath.

At 5 weeks they should be fully feathered and don't really need the extra heat. But given the ambient temps, I'd turn it down one more and leave it out for them.
