So the chick in the first picture, we might loose it came home and it was laying on it's back not moving... from what i looked up it may have gotten too hot, been without vitamins too long, or may not have developed right. Waiting to see if it'll pull through the night.

BB passed away last night. This morning there was a new chick hatched but looks like it has something wrong with its legs
Everyone keeps telling me it's normal to loose some after hatch and it's just how it goes but man I don't want that!!! I think my incubator is having temp issues and that might be why some are failing to thrive. We'll see how many make it i guess

Well chickie cuffs worked!!!! That little chick is up and running around with it's buddies! A bit wobbly but it's an amazing improvement!
We ended up loosing two, both did the panting and just did not want to get going even with me helping.
But me getting older hatchery chicks did the trick! The have shown my EEs how to eat and drink and I'm getting nothing but happy chirps!!! There were 4 little black chicks with red fluff around their eyes in a sea of just plain black chicks, so i took those. And they immediately started getting the babies eating, then started showing them to the water.

So everyone is doing great!

So i had one last egg.. it had pipped Friday it's sundau and had not zipped or progessed. YouTube video to the rescue! Watching it i was able to assist it out of the shell. Looks like it got zealous and pipped too early and the membrane near pip got dried on it's wing while it was still absorbing the yolk.

I'm hoping it pulls through, but i know it's a toss up.

It got crusty instead of fluffy... so it got a chicky bath and now back in incubator for heating up

Chickie cuffs working, seems to have good moments and bad... i named it Bunny. Energizer Bunny. It's still hit or miss with it but it seems to be trying!!
