But we have had almost the same thing happen with my grandma that is 70 and lives by herself. This saleperson wouldn't go away and he just barged in and started testing the products he had on almost every surface. We called the police and we all went over there and by the time we got there the police were there and had him handcuffed and he was going to be charged for entering when told not to.

Grandma was pretty shaken up. What I didn't get is why she didn't get out the shotgun in the gun cabinet and tell him to get out or she was going to blast his butt off if he didn't leave.

Yep, no one wants to mess with a 70 year old granny with a rifle with lead full of buckshots! I bet she would not hestitate to USE the thing!

I don't think they were casing. That's just how they operate. Very pushy and using tactics like "I can't go anywhere anyway because my boss left me here". I have had a few guys tell me that while trying to sell Kirbys.

Honestly, that is how the Kirby sales pitch goes. They sweep your carpet and floor, then move on to your mattress. Just to show you how much you need the vacuum. And then, they call their boss to come over. But, they should have listened the first time you asked them to leave, not hang around until you had to have other people make them leave.
Put up a no soliciting sign so this doesn't happen again.
