When we moved out to the country, I took the required handgun safety course in order to get a carry permit. The all-day class was PACKED - and a lot of the folks were retired (like me) and interested in self-protection. I like to show off the target from that day -- all but one of my shots were dead on target. I keep my loaded gun where I can get to it easily - and anytime I'm alone at home, it is never far away.

Better safe than sorry, glad you called. Those Kirby sellers are very pushy, so are the Rainbow Vacuum salespeople. The rainbow people refused to take their vacuum cleaner and said they were leaving it for a few days for me to use it. So, I made them sweat and I kept it for a month. They have never been back again

The deputy was out. He took the card and said the same group had been in the nearest town this past summer and had been selling something else and the police had made them leave the town because of the way they were operating. He said this is the first time he had heard of them operating out in the country this way. Thanks everyone - I feel better since the deputy has been here and there is a report filed! I think they will look out for me!
