Carnation Comb - DQ

3 week old Black Copper male with the beginnings of the Carnation comb.

Carnation comb on a 4-6 week old Blue Copper male

Same Blue Copper Male as above but at 5 mos. of age.

Faults of the body

White in the hackle and the tail feathers.

White in the hackles of a 5 month old Black Copper cockerel.

White in the tail of a 2 year old Blue Copper cock bird.

Folks, Don and I discussed many months ago that we'd like to show pictures of faults and then discuss - and that we'd put the pictures in the very first post of the thread; thus, folks can refer to post #1 for things to watch for in our breed. Would everyone please weigh in to let me know if you are in agreement? If so, as we identify "good" pics of "bad" faults or DQs, I will move them to the very first post. If you prefer to leave them where they are originally posted, that's fine, too.

Also - a quick reminder - this thread is NOT for chit-chat; posts should be in direct discussion of the topic at hand.

I for one would love to see the faults and DQ's on the opening page of this thread so folks do not have to go through the whole thing to find a photo. Can you do that? Move the posts and photos to the first post?

Yup - I can move pics and a short description of each pic into the very first thread, and also the list of DQs and faults if y'all think that would be helpful as well.

I'm in full agreement with Don - everyone should have a copy of the SOP.
