I was told some of the club members are going out to dinner with the judge and Sam Brush. They will tell them what the judge recommends then. Then, it has to go before the standards committee for the final ok. It could take few months, but I think that if the judge says ok, they will be in....

A big CONGRATS TO ALL!!

Well hopefully tomorrow I will have some chicks hatching. My first try with my new incubator. My husband & I are like mother/father hen/ roosters out there checking temperature & humidity several times a day. Everything is supposed to be automated but I have been playing games with warm water to get the humidity to climb. We have our new brooders waiting................... I am trying to stay busy with other things to make the time go by................. I am of to WalMart for yarn to make arm warmers for my grand daughter to keep me busy for tonight.................. Fingers crossed!!!!!

So exciting about the show. I can't wait to hear more and see more photos! Especially of the winning birds!

I've got my fingers crossed for all those with hatching coming up! I'll be there with ya in a bit less than 2 weeks again. Hatching is so addicting!

Yes, I had good hatches. . ..

I had issues, but they weren't temp or humidity related. On the last batch, I hatched 17 out of 20 eggs. I had an 18 th egg that pipped, but got shrink wrapped when I went in for the emergency. . . I had two other that did not pip, but had developement.

With SHIPPED eggs there are so many things that can go wrong BEFORE they even get to you. . . .

I hatched delawares and Olive eggers right beside my marans without any trouble.

I say TRY AGAIN and try to find eggs close to you. . . .

I am so sorry math ace. You must think I'm so rude. I had no idea you responded to my questions. Thank you so much. 17 out of 20 is an awesome hatch. Way better than what I got with my Marans (1 out of 18). LOL I'm putting 15 Marans in the bator now. Hoping for a good hatch.
