Other than being told they may be crossbreds because their very young, immature comb seemed to be *chopped off* at the back and the spangled one doesn't look like a BB, no other feedback. But I am fascinated now by the blues (always have been actually) and love the dark egg color so its a no brainer for me. Those BB appeal to me as well as the straight blues...so therein lies my direction, methinks if I ever get successful in hatching

Math Ace, I actually have seen a few photos of Splash that I like. I didn't think I'd like them!

I'm growing to love the black coppers more now that I've seen some really good examples...I have a BCM cockerel I like and think he is filling out pretty well...but my bcm pullets have no coppering yet....but do lay nice dark eggs...so I'm still hopeful I'll get one of those pretty coppery necked girls soon.

Hey Gilavina, I am definitely working on getting some blue and BB girls!! It will be a while and of course, depends on how successful I am at hatching

and if I can find some chicks already hatched as well, it will give me enough time to see how those BB cockerels mature and whether they are good enough to breed or not! Thanks for the encouragement, definitely catching more flies with honey!

Math ace.... I am a black copper snob also... Do not like splash!!! not my bag... they look like dirty chickens!!! sorry folks... Totally sprung on the good looking BC's... Oh and good blue copper well.... I have to admit to that!!! I like to breed the blue copper but I avoid the splash by using blue and black against each other that way I don't get the ones I don't care for... I have to look at my flock so they should probably look pretty...... TO ME... yada yada!!!

Be careful what you wish for G. Mine have too much copper......LOL
