Gracias! Do you think his hackles are too light? They were perfect a couple of weeks ago but now they look a bit yellow to me.
I think before we say they are too light that we should give him more time....I have noticed that they can darken a little after their first heavy molt, but no, I don't think they are too light...they are on the lighter side but not so light colored that they are considered straw or brassy.
I really don't see why blue coppers couldn't be a little lighter in the hackles. They are lighter birds. They have a lighter undercoat than bcms too. I know what the standard says and that snowbird is gonna let me know a little sumpin sumpin LOL! I'm just sayin....
Thought I would have 30 pages to catch up on since I didn't come here yesterday, looks like everyone was outside too! Hot and humid here too. Got up to 90 the last few days, 88% humidity inside right now.
We crab when it's cold and we crab when it's hot!
Eggs go into lockdown tonight. Tried leaving the humidity low this time, really low. Set it at 25%, opened the vent up wide, and let if flucuate where it would. With the ambient humidity it stayed about 26-35% until these last few days when it went to 40%. They should've had time to evaporate in the meantime. Guess I'll find out this weekend...
