Thanks 5star! I like how easy it is to navigate as well, that is what sold me on this layout and theme....besides I love the funky pink stuff so when I saw this theme...it was all over for me, I searched no further.

Geebs~ I have pink coops....but before I post any photos I need to spend a day or two outside with a brush and a bucket of soapy water and the pressure washer....girl do you know how nasty soggy and mucky it has been. I have a muddy splash line on all my coops that goes up about 12" or more....

. Must do some spring cleaning when/if summer ever comes.

Understandible... I wouldn't want a soul to see my mud pit... GAWD!!! hasn't this weather been unreal.... For those of you in the warmer climate... It hasn't seemed to quit raining around here... We have yet to have a week much over 60 degrees for more than a day or so.. I think we hit the 70's one time!!! It is quite unusual.

I looked outside yesterday and all the animals were pairing up!!!!

Hoping for babies this morning....dead or alive... (fingers crossed on the alive part)

Debbi.... I hear this often about a temp spike at the end.... I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the chicks getting active and moving around creating body heat... (just a theory). It seems to be a common problem though.... So sorry to hear about your circumstances.

We can commiserate together.

Geebs~ So looking forward to good news from you about this. After your email.....I was even more TOTALLY bummed!

Hey....it just dawned on me about the rain......we have been putting off a job for the last 3 mos waiting for 3-4 days of no rain (not tearing off a roof with any chance of rain) but we have only had 2.5 days of no precip. in those 3 months.

Thanks for the hug Kim, I sure could use it this morning. This is just so depressing. I will do my first egg-topsy today to see how many almost made it. Don't know if that will make me feel any better, but at least I'll know the lower humidity this time around worked. The chick that pipped and hatched, pipped in grand fashion. Never seen a pip so big, it was the size of a dime! I'd forgotten that he had pipped before I went to bed. Must be a tough nut though to make it out and survive those temps. The little one is doing fine this morning, albeit, all alone. There is a brooder next to him though with 3 weekers, so he can at least hear them, and see them through the plastic.

As for the temp spike, it's never happened before. The only problem I have had before with this situation, was with a drop in humidity over night.
