Thanks Hens! I'll gladly take the problems I have over the poor folks in Joplin! What a mess that still is. The Pres is supposed to be there today...a week later

I don't know how folks recover from that kind of destruction, I think it would do me in.

Thanks for the feedback pink chick, and the sex guesses . I will post in three weeks , I guess that I am learning something , I guessed the same as you on all 4 chicks

. I hope that they don't turn out to mossy. I don't care for the culling , even with my BSL I culled out the males on day 4 , let's just say the sharp sisers help . It will be much harder to cull the blue and bcm marans, Im thinking the longer I have them the harder it will be , thanks again for the feedback.

Here're two pics I was able to get of one of the Splash babies from you Pink. I'll try and get more of the others. Does she? look like a Bill baby? You can't see it as she's sat but she has really great feathering on her legs.

at what age does eye color change? non of mine have proper eye color but they are young yet.

lol, well i hope i don't have too much of that. they are only a month but their eyes are varying shades of green and brown. although at least 1 if not 2 have started to crow...well they're trying at least but it is pitiful!

The SS seem to be naughty girls. . . I've got a bunch of them over here - - close to 30 chicks.
We call the one batch "NAUGHTY GIRLS". The first chicks I have ever had who get on the roof of the brooder / temp coop.
At first, they were just jumping on the roof and running along it and jumping off the other side . . .. Now, they jump on the roof and FLY over the fence so that they can free range. .. NAUGHTY GIRLS - - gotta love em
