What I wouldn't give to walk down the chocolate brick road.....I would love to have a pathway to my front door that looked just like these. DH says no...because he doesn't like walking on egg shells.

These are the first eggs from my 2 year old girls. I couldn't help myself and I saved them. They sit in a dark cool closet and come out only so I can still drool on them.

Here is my little gal that is pitch black with the exception of one copper hackle feather and that one copper feather is the prettiest copper, nice and rich. No she does not have dark eyes, but the photo sure does make her look like it. Don't know why I have kept her, have no clue what I will do with her. Guess it all depends on the egg color. She too is also from Bill.
P.S., Yes it rains here alot and it's nasty out there right now, please forgive me for I haven't pressure washed the coops yet, nor have we had the chance to scrape down the runs, can't wait for some drier days.

Close-up of Dale's hackles. They are not silver and they are not copper...but yellowy blonde, but the photos, IMO make him look silver, but they are not. Look closely at what I call "lacing" or the outlining of the hackle feathers....I've never had a splash with this sort of markings. His breast is also "laced" with a coppery fawny goldish lacing too......I would expect some blue lacing effects maybe but not what he has. I will try and get a photo of his breast. The one photo I didn't get.

This photo of his saddle area shows the blondie yellowish tint a little better.

When taking this photo of his legs to show his "sparsely" feathered shanks, his nice blue leg color and reticulate scale color is when I found the tiny stub. It's right there on that foot but ya'll can't see it.

Here's a better shot of his head and comb. He has too many points.

Checking in again a month later to see if one of these roos is worth breeding - down to 2!

Both have a bit of a weird hairdo b/c they got caught in a downpour!

#2 - dark guy, eyes are starting to change, DOES have a couple feathers on middle toe


#3 - not the best photo - got poured on 2 seconds later!!
eyes are a fiery orange to match his hackle, leg fluff is a soft slate, rather than shiny black, does have a twist in the front of his comb. This was the guy who used to hold his tail down like a hen.

We only have one little Maran chick, but I must say....she is the smartest chick in the bunch so far and has already learned "Step Up" at 10 days old. She is now 3 weeks old and her name is Veda.

Geebs~ The lowrider.

Sorry best photos I could get of him. I need to try and get a photo of his comb to show the no-no.

He loves me........NOT! Complete with some shafting.

CPartist~ If you are out there looking.....you can see a glimpse of the 2 cockerels that hatched from the BLRW eggs you sent. One splash and one blue. The others are girls, one very dark blue laced, a regular blue laced and a splash.....the splash are my favorites.
