Hey Mel, congrats on the egg and the weather!! This morning here looks more like your kind of weather, cool and wet, but it is very welcomed here after all the high temps we've had! Jake & Elwood....love it!

Yea, I only work noon-til 2:30 or 3 on weekends. Sorry I missed you.
When I caught Madison to go to his new home he was all bent outta' shape
....pecking me and putting up a struggle
...he went to a home with no girls yet. Boy, I'll bet when they find some hens to bring home he is really going to "Welcome" them!
Darn! We had just missed you!
BTW: I have a few hens that a year and a half old that I would love to rehome.....but they are not Marans. If you hear of anyone looking for some girls let me know.
Bad Madison!!!! I am glad that you found him a home. Know anybody that is looking for a couple Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Roosters and a 4 month old Black Copper cockerel?
okay maybe someone can help me out here, the Blue Copper pullet that we hatched out is just about 8 weeks old now and we noticed that she holds her head down and to the side. Just started noticing this yesterday and today when we picked her out to look at her better she curled her head back up close to her body. I gave her some liquid infant vitamins without iron to see if that helps. Any ideas?
