Sounds like Wry neck and if it is Wry, vitamins are what were needed. Also try a probiotic mash for her as well. I hope she gets better soon and that the vitamins help her out. I don't know that there is a specific dose of vits. to give, if it were my bird, I would dose her a few drops by beak 3x a day for a few days and give her some of the probiotic mash each day as well. Hope more come by and give their opinions as well. Good luck with her and I am sending out good vibes right now.

You could also try on ebay. If you search "hatching eggs" and then sort results by distance, you may find some close-by that won't have a long shipping distance.

Good luck with your eggies!

BTW: The gal that I orginally hatched the Wellies out for is coming up right after the 4th of July to get them so if you would like some Wellies this fall I can do that for ya then or you could get in touch with our dear friend Lensters who has my Wellies and see if he has any right now....he lives closer too. Hope you have a good day girl!

Lots of broken eggs, missing eggs, been going on for weeks, in the main coop and in the hay pile, everywhere the girls like to lay.............

Now what to do????? They hop right through the auto chicken door into the coop!!!!! They can carry off the smaller, thicker shelled eggs, the thinner shelled ones just break.

overhead mesh net... that will stop that nonsense.. I tell you.... I had squirrels that read me the riot act when I put netting over my entire yard... they were po ed.... squawked and squeeling and came right up to my face flapping their tails at me because they couldn't get the free cereal and egg breakfast.... Little brats!!!!

Can't remember if this was the thread that was talking about the color red and how the roosters react but my DS(9) went to check for eggs and thought he should check the rooster pen's water level and our Blue Andalusian rooster went at him- DS(9) is just fine but has a red t-shirt on today... told him to stay out of the pen.

Hens ~ That was me! Yes, I will no longer wear ANYTHING red, orange, or pink in the run! I'm convinced that's what set Pip off, and I did get a strange look from Clyde too. So far, I have tried some other colors to see if I get another reaction. I've worn: black, bright turquoise blue, bright lime green, pale light green, and even a paisley blk/white patterned pants. No reactions at all. I'm thinking they see the red, and they conect it with a strange roo. Pip has been his normal self the last 2 days, no aggression like he displayed that one evening, just his typical drop wing-leg dance and growl

. I can deal with that. He has even been a great help with acclimating my Pink chicks in with the flock, and won't tolerate the hens picking on them.

Salvaged some of my garden yesterday after weed whacking the knee high weeds out of there!

All that rain we had drowned all of my big tomato plants, and some of my peppers. I did manage to save 2 huge and flowering cukes, 5 cherry tomatos, 5 cabbaged, and 5 pepper plants! So all was not lost. Raining and storming like crazy here today, so the tilling and more weeding will have to wait a few more days, then it's on to plant some pumpkins! Clean out the baby coop, and get the 6 week olds outta my house!!!

Zanna ~ Wow! What a stinker!! Is that some kind of a Jay? He almost looked like our Blue Birds, but without the red breast, and I think he is bigger too. Pretty guy, but that has to stop! If you can't do the netting, how about a curtain over the pop door? Or...a cat in the coop??
