Well if anyone can it's you. She knows, or should, that you are willing to work on varieties in progress. Just convince her that you can help her with that?

I am patiently waiting on the Silver Blue Salmons too.........just going to have to hit her up harder, I guess.

Thank you not all mine lay like that I have 3 hens that will lay that dark they are from different breeders but 2 of them are Wade x Presely lines. I have a few of thier babies (pullets) that recently started laying and lay dark like them as well so far.

No fair talking about silver blue salmons!! Who has some pics of them?..I need a fix

I am planning to worm again in late September/October. That way it will be all done by the holiday season since you are supposed to wait a few weeks to eat the eggs. I usually worm with wazine then wait a few weeks and then do the ivermectin.
I have to remember to stock up on sevin dust this fall when it all goes on clearance in the garden centers.

all this pretty colors talk is making me think I better get myself movin on building those breeding pens. Now is the time I wish I had a couple extra set of hands for construction. I know what I want to make, but need to clear out the makeshift pens I have first....would help if they weren't full of chickens growing out.

I have a 6 coop breeding pen in the works. It has been 'in the works' all year rotfl... Three of them now have a roof and doors. HOwever, there is no run around them yet LOL! Some of the young Olive Egg freerangers decided to jump up and lay thier eggs in one of the coop's nest boxes. THe turkeys decided they like the coop next to it. I hope they know they are all going to have to go back to thier original houses come fall...those are mine for breeding marans pens!! Haha. It is hard for us to get motivated to finish building anything in all this heat and humidity so most stuff has been getting put off till fall.

I dunno......I'd like a few myself....

I have a friend who hatched out a blue birchen roo from blue copperparents. I sent him a blue hen of mine & we hope to produce blue birchen. I'll let you all know if it works!

what a sweetie she is! I'm working on doing the same project. I'm in my second season of it.....it works indeed! I'm running two separate breeding pens for birchens to keep them straight. The lines look completely different...which is a good thing since most of the birchens out there for sale are pretty small in size for my taste.

I've been meaning to ask you by the way if you will have BLR wyandotte hatching eggs for sale next spring? I'm having a devil of a time finding a cockerel this year, so I'm looking into options for next year
