yup...that's her. I just couldn't resist the colors. They went really cheap in the spring and so I thought I'd give it a shot and see what I ended up with. I got 4 cockerels and 3 pullets. Culled two of the cockerels for single combs and now just sorting out which is which. Illia got me wondering if got my colored mixed around. So, I sent an email off to the seller to see if she can help me straighten out the colors.

I just looked online in and image search and am not seeing any photos of the colors I'm looking for....so I guess its just a waiting game now. The pullets lacing really is gorgeous...at least to my eye...

I would love to see pictures, too. I can't find the seller on EBAY anymore either.

hey Jeremy,

I just heard back from her and she said she is working on a website and is hoping to have it up this fall/winter. So, there is hope we'll see pics again haha. I'm guessin it might be too hot to ship eggs in AZ perhaps? She is still on ebay...I saved my initial emails with her there and looked to see if she is selling anything at the moment in poultry and email her. She is really helpful, so I'll send on any info as I learn it, like website etc.

I love NEEM!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever thought of adding effective microorganisms to your list of sprays for the coop? Talk about helping eliminate odors, this stuff is AWESOME! It also inoculates the soil if you have dirt floors and it eats lots of different things in the pooh and soil that cause disease in your chooks. I spray it on everything...walls, floors, nest boxes, perches and everywhere else in the coop that has been touched by pooh.

Hi Annie! It was great talking with you this morning. I saw your post over in the WTB section as well....you go girl! Let's find you some nice quality birds.

You seriously need to pop out of the wood work more often and chat with us about your Marans. Ohhh and girlfriend...I don't think that there's not one of us here that hasn't had "the hatch nothing but roosters" song to sing as well....trust me! Don't feel bad....just get more eggs to hatch.

What is this Neem Oil of which you speak?

I got I at homedepot or lowes; it's an organic insecticide that also has some fungicidal properties. It keeps away, err cuts down on the flies and smells nice... Almost a citrusy smell. All natural, too. I'd like to know where to find these bacteria, too. Very intrigued!

Neem Oil sounds like another product, "Orange Guard". They sell that at Ace Hardware stores, but can't get that around here either, and the shipping for two spray bottles is like $17.00! Now if Lowe's sells the Neem Oil, I may make a 40 mile trek to get that. I'd have to make sure my store carries it first, they are such pitifully lazy and very rude people up there, I vowed to NEVER again shop in that store.

EM-1 (effective microorganisms- Lactobacillus Casei) Microbial Inoculant Soil Conditioner www.teraganix.com

3/4 cup EM-1
1/4 Molasses
1 gal of water

add EM-1 and molasses after container is full of water. leave approx. inch and a half of head space in jug overall.

jug must have a lid so that you can burp the container 1x daily to relieve pressure (I use an empty 1 gal. plastic vinegar jug with its lid)

Let this mix brew for 3 weeks in the house on counter away from direct sunlight. You have just made yourself a mother batch so to speak..keeps for quite a long while.

I mix 1/2 cup EM-1 brew to 2 quarts of water in a hand held pump sprayer and spray my little heart out. I also spray in the garden at the root of the plants....they love it. I even spray some in each of the chicken waters. I hose the coops with this once a week.

I make my Neem spray using Neem Seed Meal. (Neem Seed Meal is less expensive than Neem oil)

1/2 cup Neem Seed Meal to 3-4 gallons of water and add a fish tank air bubbler to the bucket and bubble for 24 hours. Strain through a cheese cloth into empty one gallon containers with lids and store until ready to use. Do not dilute. I use a hand held hudson sprayer. Sprinkle what is in the cheese cloth all around your garden area. WARNING Neem is not the most pleasant of smells, but is a wonderful thing, so you will need to get past the smell.

Neem is an natural insecticide and has even more wonderful properties as well...do a search on Neem, you will be amazed. I also use Neem in the garden...it works great on broadleaf eating insects. If spraying in the coops...spray alteast 2-3 times a week.
Heck..... I even go out of my way to make sure to spray the chooks as they get in my way.

Doesn't hurt them one little bit. Works great on mites.

I don't think they had been handled much, but I have that remedied, and it took a little while for them to "get" mealworms, lol.
