Yes, she made it through the night, now I hope she makes it through the "Hawk Hour". Usually between 7-8, the Cooper's make a fly-by, so she best not be too sure of herself just yet!

I am thinking today I need to get some sorting done to figure out who else might be ready for the show. I have to get my entries in this next week. I for sure am showing my black ameraucana boy and a solid black marans girl I have...she is gorgeous. Its been a while since i've shown, so I think I need to order some show conditioner for washing up my birds, I also have a couple of light sussex that I need to wash up...white birds are so hard to keep completely white.

All I know is that I am showing and am buying some coop space in the sale pens to thin down further for winter prep. It will feel good to get those numbers down more.

Glad Charlotte is okay this morning...boy she is a stink pot, isn't she? Wonder how Flgardens chooks are doing?


Sending out great hatching vibes to ya'll with eggs happening.C'mon chickie chicks! The broody here that is sitting on about 10 eggs is due to hatch on Monday or Tuesday. Darryl and her Barnie baby are doing great. I hate it when the babies are outside and not coming out of the 'bator where I can see them and play with them.


DM~ Congratulations on your pretty little Marans egg. Did you get a Wellie egg too?

Oh and I didn't get up on time to put in the final bid for the auction of Birchen eggs.......6 minutes late.

Pink I am so sorry you didnt get your bid in, but I blame you for my new obssesion! I bought a doz. Birchen eggs from BJ Poultry so will need all kinds of help with this new color. With all the pictures you all put up of them just got me hooked!
