Haha I will get it from thier nestbox and take a pic of it for ya tomorrow. It has pooooo on it LOLOL . Those silly girls are still confused about the whole nestbox scenario. Some are roosting on the roost and a few are still trying to sleep in the nestboxes. I had to pick one egg up off the floor and put it in the nestbox to give them the idea.

haha Ok...sounds good! I have the birds for making olive eggers, but won't get a start on breeding the F1s til next spring. Its gonna be hard to wait for the eggies to start showing up!

Oh I can just imagine what kind of gorgeous lavender or blue bircheny olive eggers you will be making next spring!

I hope tomorrow when you get up in the morning that she will be waiting to greet you! Its nerve wracking when birds don't go back to their homes for the night.

I hope so too. This was what Pip did for awhile too, but one night outside the run made a "good boy" out of him, at least when it comes to going back in the run! In fact, two of Charlotte's brothers did this same thing a few weeks ago, and got left out. Made believers out of them too.

When I say, "C'moooonnnn every chickennnnnn", they all come a running now!

haha...I don't have too much trouble getting birds to go in at night....If one of them is laggin behind, I will make a clucking/clicking noise and they come running. They think they are going to get treats. Spoiled turds.

Charlotte is immune to treats, she could care less! Obstinate little terd, she is!

Doesn't care if it's me or a roo offering treats...no go kinda girl!

Vicki or Flgarden~ Do you see the pale pale pale goldish saddles coming in...is this normal?

And when they decided it was finally okay to look my way while taking a break from preening.

Hey lady, we love pics, post on!

The older boy, does he have a slight goldish color leak in his hackles too, as in the second pic? The first pic, his hackles look real silver, the second pic looks like some gold leakage? I can see right now these Birchens will be as hard to get true colors to show up in pics as the eggs are.

The younger boy, from the looks of the pic anyway, looks to me, like he may have better coloring coming in, as in more silver?? Either way, you've got a good starting point, I'd say. Then again, what the hell do I know!??

Must be the time of year I just moved my pullets to the yard by the house...first night I just left them in the coop next night I had 6 who decided that outside living was the new thing so I caught them all but one who was somewhere in the tree ...she was pacing out the run wanting in in the morning and every night I've had less to put in last night only one....so tonight I was calling them to go to bed and that wasn't on their to do list the last one in was the one I had to get out of the tree last night but she finally went in with a little scolding. I promise to get some pictures there are 5 who get to finish growing up the rest are layers and I still have another group to cull down I hope one of these turn out nice enough to show.
