Boo really does look black, wow. I have a dark blue roo who almost looks black too but I don't think he looks as black as boo does. Last night I put the splash silkie roo and the white one too (felt sorry for him being all alone) in with the girls and the dark roo who still hasn't done the deed with any of them lol. The splash silkie roo ran right in there and mounted the first female in his path lol. He's a little freak!! but at least he gets the job done.
He really is a nice roo but I wanted to use the darker one because his comb is blacker. Oh well...
I have been watching that white roo very closely because he almost killed Miss Tater Tots (my buff silkie hen) one time when he was younger by knocking her down and out. He seems to have matured alot and the splash roo isn't letting him near the girls at all anyways.
lol as long as he doesn't teach the white one too. The white guy I got from a separate breeder (as an egg) and his comb is really red so I don't wanna breed him to my girls at all. I think I will sell him as a pet quality bird this spring.
Your blue partridge is really pretty. Such soft colors on her. I have 4 regular partridge girls and I hope I get some blue partridge from one of my blue or splash roos. I really like the splash silkies more than I thought I would. I have a really big fat splash girl so I hope to get some splash or blue babies as well. I don't know what color buff x splash would make LOL~ Can you tell I wanna hatch silkie eggs soon?
Yeah yeah yeah that's what I said too. My baters are still up but I'm kinda thinking of just buying a bigger one. I only told dh that I was gonna keep the bators packed till spring not that I wasn't gonna hatch LOL! I want a better one anyways I'm tired of dealing with those two LGs they are do-able but high maintenance.
3 new BCM's. There are 3 still under the hen that have started to hatch, but I think one may have died in the shell. I left them there and maybe she can work some magic and get them hatched.
A little closer look.
Getting a drink. They took to water so fast you might have thought they were ducks. (One is still in my hand.)
